How does the 3D viewer work?
- When you visit a project, it is loaded in the browser of the device on which you opened the link.
- Depending on the type of project, you will get a few questions at startup.
- If asked, click on 'Open Project' to start the experience.
- If you are not yet logged into the 3D viewer, you will also see an option to sign in as a 'Creator' or 'owner'. This gives you access to additional settings with which you can further shape the experience for your visitors.
- For '3D worlds', you will then have the opportunity to test your sound settings and choose an avatar.
- You are now in the space.
- During your first visit, a short tour starts at the bottom of the screen.
- Follow this to learn how to move around in the space.
- When working on a laptop, you can also always open the Guide via the button in the bottom left
- Here you will find additional information about the project, links to other locations, and help for navigation and any problems
- In the top left of the screen, you can see with which role you are visiting the space.
- This is useful to quickly see if you are logged in as an 'owner' or 'visitor'.
- In the top right, as an owner, you will see several dropdown menus with which you can add extra interactive elements to the space, among other things.
- In addition, you can see which people are in the space, which is of course only interesting if you have set up a session with multiple people.
- In the bottom right, you will find the main menu. Click on 'More' to open it.
- Visitors can change their name and avatar here, restart the tour, or adjust the viewer preferences.
- The latter is only important in special situations, and we will explain this in another video.
- As an owner, you can also set what visitors can and cannot do in the space in this menu.
- Next to the main menu, you will find a button to leave the space. This ends your visit.
- Owners of the space will also find a yellow help button here. Use this for more answers and manuals like this.
- In the middle of the menu bar, you will find a button to the chat bar.
- Via the chat, as an owner, you can send messages to visitors who log in from other locations.
- Unless you have given visitors more rights, visitors will not see more than this.
- The owner has additional buttons to further customize the space.
- This is explained in other manuals of the 3D viewer.
